y Modesty and Pollyanna Close for Nominations ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 25. — Horsemen were reminded today by racing secretary Fred Burton that nominations for the Modesty Handicap and the Pollyanna Stakes close Wednesday. The Pollyanna carries a S15,000-added purse. The five and one-half furlongs dash for two-year-olds is slated for Thursday, July 4. The Modesty is endowed with 520,000 in added money and is Chicagos only major grass test for fillies and mares, three-year-olds and upward. The distance is one and one-sixteenth miles on Wednesday, July 10.
