Venne Scores Saddle Triple, Cancels Last Two Mounts MAUMEE DOWNS, Maumee, Ohio, May 2. — Jockey Robert Venne scored a triple saddle victory at Maumee Downs on "Thursday when he graced the winners circle with Hy Limited, winner of the opener: Persian Arch, winner of the third, and Rough Cookie, who was first to the wire in the fourth event. Venne was forced tp cancel his mounts in the "seventh and eighth races due to illness. Jockey Leon Hulslander; who substituted for Venne astride Lead Story, accounted for the seventh race, then came back in the eighth to score with Nadina giving him a double saddle victory for the day.
