CARDINAL SIN loomed boldly through the, early stretch but could not sustain his bid. ROCKPORT saved ground to no avail. TIP SHEET was sent fast along the inside to wrest command on the final turn, but had little left ■ when the real lest came. BOOMER SOONER found his best stride too late. VINSECRET loomed menacingly on the stretch turn but could not sustain his bid. BLAME MAME broke-tardily. JACKIES FIRST stopped badly after making a strong rally entering the last quarter mile.
