BLUE ROCK moved up boldly on the outside approaching the final turn and, after brushing with HELLO GOLDIE near the three-sixteenths mile post, closed strongly and outgamed the latter. HELLO GOLDIE, a sharp factor from the start, drifted out and brushed with BLUE ROCK after entering the stretch, reached the lead between calls near the finish but was unable to withstand the winner and just missed. A foul claim against BLUE ROCK by HELLO GOLDIEs rider was not allowed. BAMPOPO went to the front early and settled into the stretch with a good lead but faltered during the last sixteenth. SOLID. GOLD gave a good effort while racing in close quarters. SWAGGER STICK had no excuse. CRACK 0 DAWN raced wide. ROUGE ROSE was never prominent. SUMARA broke slowly and showed nothing. TERI ELLEN lacked early foot but finished willingly under urging. CYNTHIA SWEET, on the outside throughout, failed to rally when set down through the stretch. LIKE HIS DAD went to the front at once, made the pace until challenged by SOCIAL LAD and then failed to stay. BURIED TREASURE was never prominent. WE CRY was through early. MUSTATO, forwardly placed from the start, raced ARNICA into defeat and settled into the stretch with a good lead and then increased his margin while ridden out. WESLEY SMILEY, outrun to the last three-eighths mile, was sent up on the outside entering the stretch, bore to the inside during the drjve and was unable to reach the winner. A foul claim against WESLEY SMILEY by PRINCE WILLYS rider was not allowed. PROMETHEAN, outrun early, bore out-at the final turn and then finished willingly but could not get to the leaders. PRINCE WILLY made a good bid approaching the stretch but failed to respond when set down in the drive. ARNICA began fast and set the pace to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive.
