May 2. — Sir Tribal and Tony Skoronski, Sportsmans Parks favorite racing combination of horse and jockey, gets headline billin" in the feature race here this week end Weighted with the top impost of 120 pounds. Sir Tribal will seek his second handicap score of the session in the 5,000 Thomas D. Nash Memorial Handicap Saturday. The gallant gray, from the stable of Charles Fritz, will meet much the same opposition as in last Saturdays Spring Handicap. Arracado. who was second ir that event; Silver State, who was third* and Full Flight, who wound up fourth, are in the line-up. Rounding out the field are Cals Choice Racetracker. Kopes Hope, and Kinds Image. The distance will be 1 1-16 miles The Spring Handicap was at 1 mile. Sir Tribal, following a few failures at "the Oaklawn Park session this spring, staged quite a comeback in his first outing here. He ran his usual courageous race, and after having engaged in a slight bumping match with Arracado in the stretch, defeated the latter by a neck. He picks up two pounds from his victory. While Arracado, at 115 pounds, carries the same weight. Arracado who races for F. and W. Haynes. Texas turfmen, again will be ridden by Leonard Richardson. Beaten in Spring Handicap Silver State, who defeated Arracado, Cal s Choice, and Full Flight in the opening-day Inaugural Handicap at 61*. furlongs, was beaten about three lengths by Sir Tribal in the Spring Handicap. He drops one pound from that race. Full Flight, beaten three lengths by Silver State in the Spring, sheds five pounds. Silver State races for E. K. Carey, of Denver-Cals Choice for Marion VanBerg, and Full Flight for lone Groves. Jack Fieselman, leading rider at the meeting, will have Ihe mount on Kopes Hope, owned by Henry Maggio. of Chicago. Kopes Hope recently arrived from Florida where he finished second back of Tender Morsel in his last start. In a prior effort, also at 1 1-16 miles, he was third. During the Hialeah meeting, he scored a front-running victory in an allowance event. Charles. S. Handleman. also an arrival from Florida, finished second in his last two Florida outings. He was beaten a neck at Gulfstream Park. April 11 and in his previous race on March 31 was a length off the winner. Emil Denemark Jr.s Racetracker has had, one start at the meeting, finishing second to Roman Spy at 6and furlongs on a slow track. Howard Craig will be up on Racetracker.
