LAZY BOGAN, unhurried while being outrun early, came wide into the front straightaway to make his bid and wore down the leaders with a rush nearing the final sixteenth. PACY MICKEY had her speed, saved ground to the stretch where she drifted out badly while giving way readily to the winner GEMBALA could have been much closer had he not stumbled badly at the eighth pole. SHANNONS LEAP found his best stride tod late. TUNASMAN was forced to steady when caught in close quarters on leaving the backstretch. BUMPSY UP appeared unwilling to extend himself in the going. HAVE AND HOLD, unhurried through the first half mile, moved along the outside thereafter and, in a long drive, wore down HAPPY HALLIE in the final strides. The latter, never far back, moved boldly to assume the lead through the early stretch and, while unable to handle the winner, she was clearly best of the others. INGRESS made up some ground while racing along the inside following a sluggish beginning but could not seriously threaten. GREENOCKS MUSIC gave way suddenly after making the pace to the early stretch. MISS SAP was through early. SING LU refused once again. The latter, slow to settle in stride, was cleverly handled to weave his way through between horses in the stretch and finished strongly. RE JOLI loomed boldly in the midstretch but was not quite good enough. EASY-ME stopped badly after going a half mile. COME ABOARD stopped suddenly after showing speed for a half mile. MORRIE A. was taken up repeatedly when blocked along the inside through the first half mile. The latter made the pace under a well-judged ride, saved ground to the stretch where she drifted out slightly when put to a drive and succumbed readily to the winner. HASTY DOLL was forced to circle her field while making her belated bid. SEQUOIA raced wide while maintaining a striking position and.failed to respond when called upon for the final drive. STAY SMOOCHIE, restrained off the pace, was blocked momentarily soon after entering the backstretch, continued to save ground when clear and faltered in the final drive.
