Ycazq Injures Foot in Gate CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky.. May 2. — Manuel Ycaza, who is slated to handle Maine Chance Farms Ebony Pearl in tomorrows Derby, injured the instep of -his left foot at the start of the fifth race here this afternoon. The Panamanian pilot was astride Billy Reynolds*. Susan W. and brushed his foot against the starting gate as the field was sent on its way. Track physicians described the injury as nothing more than a. bruise but prescribed that he go home and soak the injured member in hot water to alleviate the soreness. Ycaza canceled his remaining mounts on the afternoons program. i
