GALLOPING, a strong factor throughout, offered good contention, but was no match for the winner,- ULRICA bettered her position gradually and closed gamely, LADY CONFUCIUS went well. ANGON BRIDGE began slowly, was forced wide while gaining, closed fast in the stretch and won drawing away. BEAU DIS, never far back, responded gamely to strong riding, closed fast, but could not withstand the winner. JAZ AGE, away in stride, set the pace under mild reserve, but tired nearing the finish.- JANE BRUSH, on the inside most of the way, gave a good performance. SUNSHINE BOY, close to the pace for a half mile, faltered when subjected to punishment. NOREDA was in close quarters in the stretch. I PREVAIL began well, but lacked early speed, reached the leaders a length out, but tired badly in the closing stages. PATSYETTE was far back throughout. TEMPLE HILL stumbled leaving the starting gate and was outrun. I PREVAIL and PATSYETTE delayed the start. Scratched 10774 Double Nugget, 112; 10425 Royal Sport, 106; 09809 White Top, 101. BLACK MISS, much the best, began slowly, rushed around the leaders approaching the stretch, took command and won with speed in reserve. SIS AGNES, away in stride, lacked early speed, went wide while gaining and closed fastest, but was no match for the winner. RETTEF took command early, continued gamely to the approach of the stretch, gave way to the winner, then held on well in the drive. ABDEL had early speed, held on with good courage while submitting and pulled up sore. LIMBUS raced well. JUST BUCK, in close quarters early, was again blocked sharply in the stretch. OTHERWISE also tired under punishment. GILBERT ELSTON had no excuse. BROWN WITCH closed resolutely. OUR SAMMY showed nothing. LADY PAL tired and was eased in the final stages. SQUALL displayed good speed from the beginning, maintained a slight advantage early, continued gamely and outfinished ALLTOI. The latter, on the outside most of the way, gained steadily when strongly urged, offered strong contention and was gradually wearing down the winner. BRASS BUTTONS, forced back at the start, was taken to the inside, gained steadily thereafter, was taken out in the stretch and closed gamely. MORNING FAIR, subjected to punishment early, raced well up under occasional pressure and closed gamely. ROBERTA tired after reaching the leaders. The others were outrun.
