I LAT0NIA TURF NOTES j , After warning the jockeys against rough riding before the first race Saturday, the Latonia stewards had to exercise their authority after the third by setting down Les Pichon for five days. He was suspended for rough riding aboard NMiss Vince. One of the most promising apprentices here is Ralph Bonn, under contract to J. H. and T. S. Mulyihill, and he was in such demand Monday that he drew six assignments. Andrew Loturco, apprentice with the sta- ble of J. S. Riley, and under contract to J. D. Meeker, had his first mount on a reoognized track when he rode here Saturday. Lucky Amelia, Pretty Susan, Lucy, Spanish Red and the two-year-old Terpon, which race for Mrs. Rv J. Murphy of Lexington, arrived Sunday from Aurora, and will augment the five others which trainer Otis Clelland shipped from that point earlier last week. 1 Eleven horses, the property of Mrs. Bessie Franzheim, were unloaded at Latonia Monday, having made an uneventful trip from Lexington. The shipment consisted of Black Warick, Ilikarose, Compensatory, Perdition, Fair Perdita, Grenadine, Softly Come, Flip-pereno, Silas, Middletown and Sad Eyes, and were in charge of trainer A. C. Dett-wiler. The stock of L. C. Ewald and J. O. Keene also arrived from Lexington. The Ewald horses comprised Belen, La Verne, Ripper, Beau Dis and Gray Pal, while Keene had Santon, Don Romiro, Barvita, Norite, Disaster and Vitonin. Prince Doo, a scheduled starter In the eighth race Saturday, was ordered withdrawn by the stewards. An examinatidn by the track veterinarian revealed the horse ailing from amblyopia, and is on the verge of going blind.
