1 THORNCLIFFE PARK NOTES $ : J. P. Turner, racing secretary, arrived 4 from Baltimore Sunday and assumed his duties at the north end course Monday morning. Arthur" Hullcoat has turned over the Canadian-bred Bald Crest to M. V.. Hartley to train here. J. B. Jewell, Kentucky breeder and owner, arrived from Aurora with nine horses, which include Friend Charlie, Dewhurst, Hooligan, Rush Along, Mim, Amqui, Miss Lulu, Brother Newt and Friendly Ann. Jockey L. Machado, who rode ten winners at Aurora before shipping here, arrived from Chicago and will ride for the Jewell Brothers establishment. . The boy can make 102 pounds. W. G. Kelly will be at Woodbine Park each morning between 8 and 11 oclock to accept entries for Thorncliffe Park. Paul Ciceri is distributing stall applications among the horsemen for the forthcoming meeting at Hamilton.
