THIRD DAY AT BLUE BONNETS Eldee Races to -Expectations and Accounts for Cafe Martin Purse Trophy for Owner. MONTREAL, Que., May 27. An ordinary card, featuring the fifth event, a six furlongs dash which brought the best field of the afternoon to the post, named the Cafe Martin, supplied the entertainment for the third day of the fourteen-day meeting of the Montreal Jockey Club. Eldee, Mrs. K. Lauras four-year-old Campfire filly, after proving a disappointment in her last start, raced to the easiest victory of the afternoon when she led L. Boyers Tee Off, a winner Saturday, to the finish by five lengths. Golden Princess, another winner at the meetr ing, racing for the L. Suprenant stable, was in third place, another length back and well before Simple Singer. Winston D., Conventional and Vitella completed the field and; finished in the order named. Mrs. Martin, of the Cafe Martin, presented; the owner of the winner with a handsome silver cup. A good crowd was on hand for the sport which was conducted over a fast track and was featured by the riding of the veteran. Glen Horn. There was only a slight delay at the start and starter Richey sent the field away in. good order. Eldee, ridden by S. Beecroft, raced into the lead soon after the start and was rated along in the lead, followed by Golden Princess, it developed into a two-horse race all through the back-stretch and around the turn. On the turn approaching the three-quarters, Golden Princess made a determined challenge and advanced to within a half length of the winner but Beecroft, after turning into the stretch again, called on the Campfire filly and she quickly drew away and continued to increase her advantage all through the stretch to hold a five-lengths lead as the finish line was crossed. Tee Off, which was outrun in the early stages, saved ground all the way, came fast through the stretch and caught the tiring Golden Princess to take second place in easy fashion. ;
