FLODUR, much the best, took command from the start, increased his advantage steadily and- won as his rider pleased. WESTPORT moved up fast on the back stretch, raced gamely all the way but was not good enough. BOB BRUCE came to the outside entering the stretch and finished gamely. WELL BUILT started slowly, lost much ground while moving up, closed gamely in the stretch and wore down FREE ADVICE in the closing strides. The latter gained rapidly on the lower turn, took a short lead in the stretch and, while holding on well, could not withstand the winner. Wll lORA forced the early pace, took the lead on the lower turn, drew clear entering the stretch, but tired, in the last eighth. MADDOX showed a good effort. BRILLIANT ROCK, at home in the going, was under slight restraint for the first half mile, gained gradually on the outside, finished gamely in the stretch, wore down AUNT MARIE and had enough left to hold FAYETTE PRINCE safe. The latter started slowly, lacked early speed, came to the outside in the stretch and finished gamely. AUNT MARIE showed good early speed, raced SWEEPOGAN into the ground, drew clear on the lower turn, but tired in the last eighth. BEAVER COUNTY was going well at the end. SWEEPOGAN quit badly.
