J WAGGONERS PLAN FINAL j 1 MEETING AT ARLINGTON KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 9. Paul Waggoner, who with his brother, Guy, are the owners of Arlington Downs, Texas, was a visitor at Riverside Park this afternoon. Mr. Waggoner stated that the Texas Jockey Club, which operates Arlington Downs, would try to stage a final meeting at that course starting some time in August and running through September. The Texas repeal bill, which recently outlawed racing in Texas, will not become effective until late in September and the Waggoners plan to have their meeting before the bill becomes effective. While they have not applied to the racing commission for dates, Mr. Waggoner is confident that dates will be allotted to them. Mr. Waggoner said general manager Trav Daniel will again be-in charge of operations.
