I LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES I : i Eddie Pollard, custodian of the jockey quarters at Long Branch, reports that fifty riders have registered here. Eddie Pollard will act as patrol judge, assisting W. G. Kelly, in addition to his duties as custodian of the jockeys room. The stables at the Lake Shore course are. completely filled, and the overflow is being taken care of at the Dufferin Park plant. Long Branch has 545 stalls. Horses quartered at the other courses will be vanned free each day to the. track by the association. Easter Hatter was reported as pulling up sore after being breezed and was scratched from the fourth event Wednesday. P. C. Galliger, presiding steward at the Long Branch course, wishes to impress on the horsemen that blinkers, spurs and whips must be carried and that any change In equipment must be granted by the stewards before 1 oclock each day.
