GHOST QUEEN, sluggish at the start, went Into a forward position with a rush at the turn out of the back stretch, took command when reaching the nome stretch, but had to be hard hustled to withstand PERJURED. The latter, racing greenly but having good speed, came determinedly in the final drive and was wearing the winner down readily. PARALLEL was vigorously ridden for the entire trip and had no excuses. PICK OUT finished with good courage to make up ground in the final eighth. STENOGRAPHER suffered early interference. SPEEDALONG was allowed to drop back after the start and was never a factor. RIDING HIGH took a short lead in the opening eighth, responded gamely after being momentarily headed and, finishing with good courage, came away approaching the finish after regaining the lead in the final eighth. NIGHT WATCH offered stout contention all the way but faltered in the final sixteenth. PROPRIETARY, unable to hold a position with the early leaders, finished willingly in the stretch drive. HIGH TREASON, prominent for five-eighths, tired under punishment in the final drive. SILVER GREY was neld safe. BROWN "VIXEN was never a factor. MISS CALLIE tired after a quarter mile. The latter, in the thick of contention from the start, saved ground after going on by "WEDDING RING and fougbt it eat with splendid courage to the end. SPUR FLOWER improved lier position steadily and finished with good -energy. MORLUTE, always in a contending position, tired in the final drive. GENERAL A., caught In close quarters after the start and a trailer for the first half mile, closed fast between borses. WEDDING RING had 5d speed but tired -when caught. "DUNLEY was outrun. BLACK TIMBER gained stoutly in the last half mile and finished with good courage. TOOTHPICK was always close up, made repeated efforts, but hung in the final test. TRAITRESS made up ground in the last half mile and saved much ground. WILEY B. BRYANT tired after going three-quarters. RED ARIL was held safe. EBON ZE was outrun. ME MYSELF was badly beaten off and pulled up slightly lame. Overweight Toothpick, 4 pounds.
