MOMIJI worked her way forward on the inside the first half mile, swung to the outside for the drive, wore down the leaders and outfinished BOBS FIRST in the drive. The latter, in close attendance of the pace the first half mile, moved into the lead inside the last eighth but was unable to withstand the winners closing challenge. OSIRIAN, a forward factor from the start, moved up threateningly in the final eighth, then faltered in the concluding strides. SIMOSEE, away slowly, worked its way forward on the outside and closed a big gap. PATSY SWEEP forced the early pace, then faltered in the drive. SUGAR JAR quit. DOER made up ground. LITTLE SARGENT tired badly. QUEENSWAY quit badly after showing keen early speed. FEUDAL LORD followed in close attendance of the pace the first three-eighths, moved up fast on the outside when called upon entering the stretch, wore down the leaders and was going away- at the end. BIG FISH raced ANACREON into defeat in the first half mile, took command briefly when straightened away in the stretch and held on gamely in the drive. SOCK DOLOGER dropped back leaving the back stretch, then came again in the final quarter mile to outfinish MINDREADER. The latter moved up threateningly in the final eighth, then hung. CRINOLINE made up ground the last quarter mile. HIDEAU went evenly. ANACREON quit badly after displaying early speed. GENTLE KNIGHT refused to break when the start came. GIGGLING GIRL, taken in hand and rated back off the pace the first three-eighths, moved into command with a rush when called upon entering the stretch, -drew clear and was never threatened, GREEN IRIS; a forward factor from the start, closed gamely and outfinished NOISETTE, although tiring. NOISETTE set the early pace, gave way entering the stretch and went evenly thereafter. DORIS RAMSDEN moved up fast after the first quarter mile and went evenly thereafter. The latter, well placed throughout, took command when straightened away for the drive, and had no excuses. MISS MONOA forced the early pace, then tired in the final drive. DARK SUN set a fast pace for five-eighths, then tired badly. CEASELESS went evenly. ABBATORO was away slowly and could never improve his position. DONSTICK had brief early speed. NIGHTS END, unruly at the start, was hustled into the lead at once, set the pace under steady restraint the first seven-eighths and was under mild urging all through the final eighth to stall off FLYING DERE. The latter, kicked at the post, was a forward factor from the start, came willingly through the final eighth and was slowly overtaking the winner at the end. PEEDEEQUE raced evenly throughout. BATTLING GIRL, away slowly, made up ground. TORCHEEN dwelt when the start came, moved up after going the first half mile and raced evenly. BIG ONE quit after three-quarters.
