PRINCESS PAT STAKES . AT HOMEWOOD SATURDAY JUVENILEHLLY RAGE Valuable New Fixture Expected to Attract at Least Ten Starters. Whitneys Inhale Star of Eastern Representatives Manie OHara and Bluefield Western Hopes. HOMEWOOD, 111., June 9. Ten of the-top-notch juvenile fillies, including entries from the extensive Milky Way and Valdina Farms, appear set today to go for the Princess Pat Stakes, whose value may aggregate 5,000, to be run Saturday as the feature at Washington Park. While the Princess Pat will not attract a large field as it makes its" debut on the Washington Park Jockey Clubs stake program, it will have a select one, including, as it does, one of the outstanding fillies of the East and two undefeated western misses which have shown their heels to all they have faced. The eastern filly star is John Hay Whitneys Inhale, daughter of The Porter Fa-tima II. and winner of her last two stake starts by eight and six lengths, respectively. Inhale, after taking the Youthful Stakes at Jamaica, ran five furlongs in. :58 to win the Rosedale Stakes there, equalling a track mark which had stood for fourteen years. Inhale arrived at Washington Park Tuesday morning and was galloped yesterday morning for her first exercise here. WESTERN TRAINERS SKEPTICAL. When trainer Jim Healy determined to ship Inhale west for the Princess Pat, he is said to have asked if there were any good juvenile fillies out here. Western trainers . might well be skeptical of Inhales ability to stop the two unbeaten misses, both Chicago-owned, the Milky Way Farms Manie OHara and the Shandon Farms Bluefield. Neither has had much trouble in her starts at Washington Park this meeting and both will be in receipt of weight from the stake-winning easterner, which must carry top impost of 122 pounds. With several of the members of the Washington Park jockey colony journeying to Latonia for the Derby there, something of a scramble has ensued for riders for the Princess Pat. Lester Balaski has been engaged to handle Inhale, while Manie OHara and Well Rewarded, the Milky Way pair, will have Charlie Kurtsinger and "Buddy" Haas in the saddles. Irving Anderson will have the mount on Bluefield. SEVERAL STARTERS TODAY. The final disposition of some of the Princess Pat candidates must wait until after the running of tomorrows card, for four eligibles are named to compete in the first race. Continued on fortieth page. j PRINCESS PAT STAKES AT H0MEW00D SATURDAY Continued from first nage.J Of these, one is Airegla, racing for the Mr. French Stabl3, which is regarded as most likely to start in the stake. Others are the Milky Way Farms Marcie S., thev Bomar Stables Mighty Sweet and Mrs. John Hertz Lace Reigh. Should any of the four show extremely well, it is not improbable that she would come right back two days later in the Princess Pat. The probable Princess Pat field is as follows: Horse. Wt. Jockey.
