I SUFFOLK DOWNS TURF NOTES I $ The total handle for the first eighteen days of racing at . Suffolk Downs was ,155,784, as compared with ,665,394 for the first eighteen days of last year. The daily average to date is 97,270. In 144 races thus far held the favorites, have won forty-four times, for a percentage of .30. There are now 1,038 horses in the stables at Suffolk Downs. The majority of the stables will ship out to Rockingham the latter part of the week. Requests for Suffolk Downs reservations for the second meeting, beginning July 12, far exceed the number of stalls available.
