SOUND ADVICE BY A HEAD . Splashes Through the Mud at Suffolk to Earn Verdict in Falmouth Claiming Purse. BOSTON, Mass., June 14. Mrs. A. M. Creechs Sound Advice overcame the handicap of an inside position and a slow start to splash to victory through the mud in the Falmouth Claiming Purse, a six furlongs feature of a dismal day of sport at Suffolk Downs, this afternoon. The winner charged up like a flash in the final sixteenth, coming on the extreme outside to earn a head decision over Joe . M. . Brooks Boston Mary. Richards hustjing stretch drive played no small part in the score of the Wise Counsellor five-year-old. Danny Sullivans Black Highbrow, four to five choice, was third, finishing two and a half lengths back of the runner-up. "Babe" Hanford appeared to be overconfident in the stretch, else his mount might .have landed much closer up. The winner finished six furlongs over the muddy course in 1:12, time that was good, considering track conditions. Murky and threatening weather which brought heavy rains during the morning hours, cut the crowd considerably today.
