PURCHASES SWEEP MARE LEXINGTON, Ky., June 14. For Valdina Farms, E. F. Woodward, president of the vast Texas establishment, has purchased from Dr. E. E. Watson, who is now at Detroit, the five-year-old bay mare, Chambermaid, by Sweep Cecile, by Peter Pan. Chambermaid is own sister to Mop, also owned by Valdina Farms, which now possesses sixteen daughters of Sweep. Chambermaid will join other Valdina mares at Thomas C.
