CATSWEEP was hustled to the leaders on the outside in the first quarter, forced the pace thereafter, came gamely through the stretch, but was not good enough. JILDAC, slow to settle into his best stride, made up ground in the last quarter mile. MISS WORTHMORE came willingly through the stretch run and outfinished STIRRED UP. The latter raced SLEAFORD into defeat, then tired badly in the drive. BUBBLING OUT raced evenly. SLEAFORD quit badly. KILMOLASH was away slowly. Scratched 43780 Newell, 114. The latter sprinted into the lead at once, set the pace under steady restraint, tired badly in the last half mile and faltered badly nearing the finish. ALL SQUARE could never threaten.
