1 M. J. WINN DELAYS DEPARTURE Changes at Lincoln Fields Requirt Presence of Noted Turf Official Leaving Monday. HOMEWOOD, 111., June 24. Because of the importance of a number of improve" ments at Lincoln Fields, Col. Matt J. Winn, its head, has delayed his return to Latonia4 where an early summer meeting is in progress and probably will not leave for Kentucky before Monday. Since last Friday when he arrived here from Cincinnati, Colonel Winn has made several visits to Lincoln Fields and on each conceived and outlined changes and new features certain to make the Crete plant more popular than ever before. Colonel Winn is going into the continental idea of outdoor dining and refreshment features and plans to convert much of the Lincoln Fields clubhouse area into an enormous and terraced garden. Other changes will involve the general enclosures and the plant is to be entirely renovated before the opening on August 2.
