Approximately ,OOQ,000 will have passed through the totalisator at Washington Park when the curtain drops on the thirty-day meeting here next Saturday, it was estimated today. During the first twenty-seven days of the meeting a total of ,084,682 was wagered, for a daily average of 25,358.59, but it was believed that this average might be raised an additional ,000 per day by Saturday. From a slow beginning, the meeting has picked up steadily, both for attendance and betting, and this has been the history of the track during its entire operation.
