KOLEY BEY raced to the front at once and, opening up a long lead after going half the distance, was never in danger. SCOBINA raced well to the end. LADY LOUELLA gained ground gradually and was going well at the end. FOOLHARDY tired in the stretch. JUST MARIE had no chance with the ride, being all over the track. GAN LEE, off well, was never far from the pace and, catching DARK RASCAL near the end, won under urging. DARK RASCAL opened up a good lead while making the pace but tired near the end. ERVAST gained gradully on the inside and finished fast next to the rail. PAISANO was also going well at the end. MOSS BOND quit badly and probably needed the race. Overweight Equality, 3 pounds. WAVY SEA, never far from the pace, was hustled thrffugh the stretch and got to the front in the last stride when its rider outrode the riders of BENEFIT and LOAFER. BENEFIT set the pace under slight restraint and went fairly well on his own courage to the stretch. LOAFER, probably best, but receiving but little help from his rider, was permitted to race very wide in the stretch and hung under his weight near the end. The others seemed outclassed.
