STORM WARNING, saving ground throughout and well, handled, was lucky to get through after a quarter and, holding on gamely while under pressure, held BAG-O-TRICKS safe. The latter forced a swift pace throughout and continued gamely to the end. DEFT broke .swiftly, dropped out early, but came steadily in the last three-quarters while racing wide. DIXIE GIRL came from far out of it in the final quarter. PARISIAN MAID displayed brief early speed. MAMMY B. lacked early speed but closed with a rush. SECOND RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. MACAWLEE assumed the lead quickly, was taken under light restraint early, drew away when allowed to run around the far turn and was well in hand in the last sixteenth. SMOOTH began slowly, was forced wide working its way up and closed strongly. CLIVE moved up between horses the final three-eighths, and showed a good effort. CASANARD was hard hustled while close to the leaders throughout and held on with courage. PELORIA had no mishaps. ABBY B. tired after forcing the pace to the final eighth. ALBERT BECK, well handled and quick to settle into his best stride, moved to the front with a rush and, under mild urging, steadily increased his advantage and had something in reserve. THORNBY, close up from start, was in tight quarters at the far turn, continued well when clear but was no match for the winner. YENOC saved ground throughout and closed strongly. MATURE was hard hustled throughout, but was unable to reach the leaders. BUSY DAUGHTER raced well up throughout. FRITZ HALLAM tired.-SQUADS RIGHT stumbled and unseated his rider at the three-eighths post. BROADWAY JUEL was practically left.
