I AQUEDUCT TURF NOTES . For the opening day at Empire City, Jack Campbell announced that entries would close at Aqueduct at the usual time. Kenneth Dawes arrived from Montreal for a brief visit. He purchased at private terms from the Belair Stud the horse Riparian, which is destined for Canadian racing. Horsemen and jockeys were notified that no checks against racing accounts would be drawn Wednesday. Mower and Swahili were returned to Belmont Park from Delaware Park by trainer George Odom. The latter returned after saddling Mower and will commute between the two points in the future. The King Ranchs Dawn Play arrived at Empire City during the morning and joined the band which Max Hirsch has there. Val Crane returned from Saratoga, where he spent the week-end and saiti that the many improvements enhance the upstate track. Fred Hopkins notified jockey H. Keppler at Agawam Park to report to him for the Empire City meeting. The boy is a lightweight. v
