FAST ROAMER, well handled and saved early, responded fast when sent between the leaders for the drive, was put to stronger urging when taking command and won drawing away. PROHIBITION, hustled along from the start and on the outside, finished strongly. WAX moved up fast on the outside after five-sixteenths, saved ground at the stretch turn and closed resolutely. MOLLY GREENOCK, rushed , to the front, was unable to draw clear and gave way in the stretch. SPEED QUEEN, used up in the pace tired after a half mile. THE MAYOR began very slowly and made up ground in the final quarter. TAIPAN began from outside of the stalls. NORTHERN SLIP showed early speed. Corrected weight Bardoga, 107; Peter J. EDDIE WRACK, badly handled and permitted to lose ground when improving his position, came fast in the last eighth. WASSAIL, used up in the pace, tired fast in the drive. WATONGA made up ground. DOZANA, a strong factor from the start and in close quarters early, came again after being shuffled back approaching the final quarter. TRAMWAY tired after improving his position. SUN HENRY, probably the best and hustled along. from the start, was carried wide during the final eighth by the winner and tired near the end. TRANS WYNN took command at once, gave way when challenged, saved ground entering the stretch and tired in the final eighth. SUPREME FLAG finished fast. DOCTOR TIM showed little. LE FEU was outrun. The latter began in a tangle, moved up fast when clear and finished in a dead heat with MERE FROLIC. GATLIN, in close quarters on the inside, improved his position when clear and finished strongly. PULL CORD closed fast on the inside. DOMINANT DARBY quit badly in the drive. PASSABLE was outrun. GRAND WATERS, fractious and in motion at the start, dropped out of contention early.
