Costa Rica, the highly regarded son of Ladder, in the T. S. Cochenour establishment, is rapidly nearing racing condition and will most likely make his debut in the next week or so. A complete set of new saddle cloths and head numbers were put into use for Tuesdays sport. Jockey E. Burns was fined 5 by the stewards for crowding horses on the back- stretch with his mount, Big Fish, in the fifth race Monday. Jockey F. Collins was fined 5 for rough riding while astride Taximan in the first race Tuesday.
