DOUBLE FOR DOBSON SILKS Onslaught and Oakwoods Judge Win at Blue Bonnets Rain Falls Steadily After Third Race. MONTREAL, Que., June 29. Onslaught, racing in the blue and silver silks of E. C. Dobson, provided a mild surprise under the guidance of apprentice A. Barnett, when he raced to an easy victory in the St. Laurent Bourse, feature on the ninth day of the p31ue Bonnets meeting. Tappanaugh, racing for S. H. Kious, and winner of his two previous starts at the meeting, raced to second place, two and one-half length back, and two and one-half lengths before G. Foisys Fidele. It was the second victory of the afternoon for the Dobson stable and apprentice Barnett. Onslaught raced the seven furlongs in 1:29, over a sloppy track. Another good crowd was in attendance despite the threatening weather of the forenoon, and during the third race heavy rain fell and continued for the remainder of the afternoon, making the track sloppy by the time the feature was run. Onslaught had the most speed from the start and went into the lead at once, followed by Tappanaugh and Claflag. Barnett rated the Sir Peter gelding along slightly in advance for the first half mile and after turning into the stretch, sent him clear and opening up a two and one-half lengths lead, he had no difficulty in retaining that margin to the end. Tappanaugh forced the pace from the beginning and made repeated attempts to catch the leader, but with no avail. Fidele raced in fifth place to the stretch, then finished gamely to take third place. Salvus, a trailer all the way and a nominee of the Quebec Kings Plate, worked put a mile and: one-eighth in preparation for that event
