RIFF SUCCUMBS LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 9. J. F. ONeil has reported the death of the horse Riff, which succumbed after having contracted an illness en route from New Orleans, where he was campaigned all winter. Riff is best remembered by racing fans of this sector for his competition in gentlemens cup races at Churchill Downs and River Downs. Riff took part in two such races here and two at the Cincinnati track.
