DELIBERATE TOPS LIST Heads Consignment of Everglades Stable to Race at Coming Keeneland Meeting. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 9. Deliberator, winner of three stakes in 1937, headed the consignment of thoroughbreds that will represent the Everglades Stable of P. A. Burton and John S. Ward, at Keeneland during the approaching eleven-day spring meeting. The five-year-old bay horse was among the ten that trainer J. S. Ward moved into the palatial plant to be prepared for a campaign here and it was reported that the son of Wise Counsellor Azurita, has come to hand well after going wrong last fall in Maryland.. The Everglades outfit is composed mostly of two-year-olds, which includes Wise Decision, Graustark, Ministress, Pause, Counara and Alice Dodge. Among the older members of the stable, along with Deliberator, are Wise Dart, Counsuello and Asiana. Every member of the Everglades Stable, with the exception of the two-year-old brown filly, Alice Dodge, are the progeny of Wise Counsellor. Alice Dodge and Ministress, the latter a full sister of Deliberator, are nominees for the Lafayette Stakes, ,500 added sprint scheduled to be decided on April 27. CRACK SPRINTER. Deliberator matched strides with the leading sprinters of the nation in 1937 and compiled a creditable record for himself. Shipped east following his triumph in the Quick Step Handicap at Latonia, his only engagement in Kentucky last year, he finished second in the Carter Handicap at Aqueduct. Moving over to Arlington Park to compete in the Inaugural Handicap at the fashionable north side course, he finished fourth, but was never out of the money in his remaining engagements during the year. De-liberator was second in the Peabody Handicap at Lincoln Fields, then trimmed a classy field in the Steger Handicap at Lincoln Fields before returning to New York, whei;e he won the Interborough Handicap at Jamaica. The Everglades speedster finished third in the Laurel Stakes at Laurel, was second in the Baltimore Autumn Handicap at Pim-lico and third in the Ritchie at the same course. Deliberators stakes earnings for the year totalled 5,285, whereas his total earnings for 1937 were 8,285, a sizeable sum considering the number of engagements that he fulfilled. ,
