MATCH UP TO WHITNEY NEW YORK, N. Y., April 9. John Hay Whitney, cousin of C. V. Whitney and also a stockholder in Belmont Park and member of the directorate, is expected to arrive in New York from the Coast next week to discuss the match. Saturday it appeared that the only obstacle to the match might be C. V. Whitneys attitude. If he approves it, the race is almost certain to go through. It was admitted, however, that the young sportsman could block it if he wished to do so.
