BURKE HAD ARDUOUS TRIP Chicago Tracks Ticket Chief Was General Manager of Two and a Half Months Henie Tour. William Burke, Chicagos prestidigitator among ticket handlers and chief of admission gate crews for most of the Windy Citys major sporting events, recently completed an arduous two and a half months tour with Sonja Henie and her troupe of ! eighty ice performers. Better known to Chicagos sporting fraternity as "Bill," Burke will soon be greeting old friends as they make their way into Illinois race tracks. He has charge of admissions at the majority of tracks in the vicinity of the city. Burke had complete charge of the routing of the Henie troupe and handled more than ,000,000 during the ten weeks en tour. He was general manager and chief factotum, but states he had a wonderful trip, the many youngsters making up the chorus and ensemble, assisting the Queen of the Ice, being easy to handle and to satisfy. The special train consisted of five cars, made up of three baggage, two Pullmans and one diner. Burke states that he is tired and a little weary, but thoughts of once more seeing the horses in action revives .him and makes him anxious for the opening bugle, which will be blown at Aurora May 2. He will not handle the gate at Detroit this year, his Chicago duties preventing.
