POSTPONE SHIPMENT OF J. E. WIDENER HORSES TO BELMONT LEXINGTON, Ky., April 9. Arrangements had been made by trainer Pete Coyne to leave Elmendorf Farms training quarters in two cars this morning with sixteen of Joseph E. Wideners horses for the Widener stable at Belmont Park, but when, at dawn, the day was so cold, dreary and disagreeable and rain changed to snow, it was decided to postpone departure. Trainer Coyne said if the weather was right tomorrow they might leave then or, perhaps, would wait until Monday or Tuesday. The string is made up 1 of Optic, a four-year-old; Bucking, Knox-ville " and Transmitter, three-year-olds, and the following two-year-olds: Crystal Maze, b. f, by -Chance Shot Blue Glass; Cupids 1 Arrow, b. c, by Chance Shot Love Dart; Holbein, b. c, by Blue Larkspur Fairness; Melodies, ch. f, by Chance Shot Sickle ! Pear; Minstrel Wit, b. g, by Royal Minstrel I Lady Witt; Miss Brief, b. f, by Sickle Or-monda; Nijinsky, b. c, by Pompey -.Tripping r Toe; Omnibus, ch. c, by Sickle Look Up; i Posy, ch. f, by Chance Shot Stephanie; Ro-dan, ch. c, by Chance Shot Psyche; Secret Rose, b. f. by Blue Larkspur Serenity; ; J Slumber, b. c, by Chance Shot Siesta. This leaves nine horses in training at the farm, which are to be raced at Kentucky and Illinois tracks by trainer Dan E. Stewart.
