DAMICA worked way forward steadily on the outside and closed willingly to outfinish SEMESTER. The latter raced forwardly placed and, saving ground throughout, had no mishaps. HAMMEL sprinted into a clear lead in the first half mile, then faltered through the stretch. HEY KELLY made up ground. LORRAINE S. tired badly in the final quarter mile. SPEY CREST had brief speed. The latter, unruly at the post, sprinted into the lead at once, set the pace to the final eighth, then faltered. LEGION GIRL raced forwardly placed on the outside throughout and showed a good effort. SOLAR TIME sprinted into the lead at once, drew clear under steady restraint, withstood repeated challenges from IRISH ENVOY in the final half mile and drew away again nearing the end. IRISH ENVOY forced the pace from the start and closed gamely, but was unable to" reach the leader. FARU raced -forwardly placed from the start and made a bold bid to reach the leaders after going a mile and a half, then tired. MONOCLE made up ground. SUPER POWER raced evenly. MISS VERCHERES raced forwardly placed from the start and had no mishaps. GATWICK tired. ONTEGRA, unruly at the start, unseated rider, was sent to the outside of the stalls and, wheeling when the start came, made up ground thereafter. BLACK ASH raced evenly. ROYAL FAIR was outrun. LISTARO trailed the field to the stretch, then closed with a rush on the outside through the final eighth. STEPHEN JAY raced forwardly placed on the outside throughout and had no mishaps.
