HAWKS MANAGER CONVALESCES BOSTON, Mass., Sept. 30. Bill Stewart, National League umpire and manager of the Chicago Black Hawks hockey team, left Forest Hills Hospital and is convalescing from an appendectomy performed a fortnight ago.. He is not expected to join the Chicago hockey team in training quarters before two weeks.
