EIGHT RACES AT FAIRMOUNT Feature Race Over Three -Quarters Attracts Eight Good Sprinters Prince Argo Given Top Weight. COLLTNSVILLE, 111." Sept. 30 The program of eight races to be offered at Fair-mount Park on Saturday, should prove highly interesting to those in attendance speculatively inclined, for the stellar card which racing secretary Richard A. Leigh i has arranged for the half holiday program features a number of attractive contests, five of which are sprint events while the remaining three races are to be decided over route distances. With a continuation of the ideal weather conditions which has prevailed during the past week, a large turnout is expected for I the next to the last Saturdays program, which includes two handicaps, the first being for two-year-olds and which has been carded as the fifth race, while the second handicap to be offered is for three-year-olds and older and carded as sixth on the program and the principal event of the day. PRINCE ARGO TOP WEIGHT. The feature brings together eight sprinters which will race six furlongs for a purse of ,200. Named in the overnight event are Prince Argo, which will be carrying top weight of 120 pounds and which, due to his sparkling efforts here previously, will in all probability rule the choice with Unassisted, J. E. Millers speedy three-year-old son of Witchmount. Unassisted, which holds the track record here for the six furlongs distance setting a new mark of 1:11 in his winning effort last Saturday, is next in line of Weights carrying 117 pounds. I The weights for the feature event of the day, scale down from 116 pounds, carried by Frank Scrembas Fairflax, to the light weight package of 96 pounds which Garden Pool will carry postward.
