BUYS McLEANS CONTRACT CICERO, 111., Sept. 30. William Causey has purchased the contract which C. W. Shaw, Jr., held on the promising apprentice, Pete McLean. William Buck, who represented Shaw in the transaction, however, will have first call on the boys services until the end of the Sportsmans Park meeting. McLean, who hails from Beachmont, Mass., rode his first winner last April at Bay Meadows.
