I HAWTHORNE TURF NOTES ! j $ William Johnston, who is connected with Sportsmans Park, was at Hawthorne this afternoon renewing acquaintances. He was very enthusiastic over prospects for the coming meeting which opens October 10. Nelson Ings is bringing in six head from Canada and Monte Weil three from Fair-mount. They will make the Sportsmans Park meeting their objectives J. H. Tate, who has several horses here in charge of "Buddy" Berry, arrived from his home in Arlington, Texas, and will remain until the end of the Sportsmans Park meeting.
