LAUREL PARK TURF NOTES $ Jockeys M. Peters and P. McDcrmott checked in from Belmont and their riding engagements will be made by Frank Capra. A. L. Taylor was an arrival from Detroit with three horses which run in the colors of H. N. Lape. Pat McCabe arrived from Detroit with the horses of H. Dattner that will be campaigned in Maryland for the balance of the season. The string Yancey Christmas raced in New England during the summer months were unloaded here. The shipment was headed by the good sprinter Rough Time, which is scheduled to start in the Capital Handicap Friday. Jockey H. Le Blanc swelled- the Maryland riding colony when he checked in from Detroit. The lightning eye camera owned by Jimmy Jones was installed here and was tested for speed and accurracy. Jockey Raymond Workman sent word that he would reach here on Monday. J. P. Turner, Sr., and M. C. Shea, who served as officials at Rockingham Park, were arrivals from New Hampshire. Turner serves as racing secretary for the Maryland State Fair, Inc., while he acts as placing judge. Fred Hayward, secretary of the Maiyland Racing Commission, was on hand at an early hour Friday to accept applications for trainers and riders licenses. W. J. Norton has eighteen yearlings that are receiving early education for J. H. Whitney.
