1 BELMONT PARK TURF NOTES and tt H. McLeod dropped ,500 into the claiming box and secured Red Time from W. H. Furst out of the first race. The juvenile was turned over to Jack Richardson to train. According to reports received Friday, J. E. Widener will be on hand for the running of the Futurity, his first appearance of the meeting. Pete Coyne will campaign several of the J. E. Widener horses during the Jamaica meeting, later shipping to the farm for the winter. Jockey B. James will leave for San Francisco Sunday, reporting to trainer Horning of the W. E. Boeing stable there. Al Levy, who flew to Havana to inspect Oriental Park, was due back Friday from that point. He will make several announce ments upon his return, in regard to the officials and other details of the meeting. The apprentice allowance on Maefleet was waived by the stewards and jockey B. James was substituted for R. Scott. The steeplechase horses campaigned by Mrs. Gwladys Whitney were shipped to Laurel Park by trainer Holloway. Jockey R. Workman will go to Laurel Park Monday, reporting to trainer J. H. Stotler, who will campaign the A. G. Van-derbilt horses there. With the running of the steeplechase events on New York tracks completed for the year, owners, trainers and jockeys of that branch left for Laurel Park. Vincent Powers will keep the Greentree Stable jumpers here in training for the hunt meeting on election day and then retire to winter quarters. The E. R. Bradley stable, in charge of Bill Hurley, leaves for Laurel Sunday morning.
