LLOYDS 5,000 SPECTACLES Lloyds of London signed articles of agreement with Lloyd of Hollywood the movie comedian, Harold Lloyd to insure the latter s pair of spectacles for 5,000. The lenser less rims are twenty years old and were used by the comedian in his first screen appearance. They are his only character "prop." The horn rims rest in a specially constructed humidor to keep them from crumbling and are never brought out except for the first scene in each Lloyd film.
