RAMSEY NAMES THREE Enters Mucho Gusto, Palamede and Bow and Arrow at Latonia. Seeks Honors in Twin City Handicap Nine Make Up Overnight Field Route Race. LATONIA, Ky., Sept. 30. The battle for supremacy among the routers of the handicap division is destined to reach a high point tomorrow afternoon at LaTonia when the ,500 added Twin City Handicap comes up for decision over the mile and three-six-" tcenths distance and brings out some of the foremost stayers available in this section. While the Twin City headlines the eight-race offering arranged for the half holiday, the six-furlong dash styled the Mariemont Handicap, embraces five fleet sprinters to serve as the secondary feature. Although somewhat lacking in quantity, the Twin City Handicap is quality plus when Ft comes to the thoroughbreds which have in the past demonstrated their ability to successfully campaign in the marathon events. Seven interests are represented in the field of nine which were named in the overnight entries and provides a well matched band. REVIVAL OF FEUD. Chief interest is manifested in the revival of the feud between Joseph De Sopos Tunica, winner of his last start here, and Cop--page and Ramseys Mucho Gusto, which disappointed his following a week ago when he bowed to the erstwhile selling plater which .has made a tremendous advance since last spring and has pulled several surprises in fashionable company in other racing sectors. While it is a foregone conclusion that Mucho Gusto and Tunica will attract most attention, the Twin City is by no means a two-horse affair, in view of the fact that A. C. Ernsts Al au Feu had displayed in conclusive manner that he is not to be counted out when it comes to competition "bver the cup route. Louise J. Hickmans Arabs Arrow and J. W. Parrishs The Whale, both of which are racing successfully here at shorter distances, but are inclined to longer routes, are "among those that will be making a bid for gold a and glory on this occasion. Mrs. R. J. Mur- phys Little Nymph is regarded as a "dark "horse," as she gave indication of improving in her last start. THREE STRINGS TO BOW. That Kirby Ramsey is determined to play an important part in the deciding race is given through the entry of three of his charges. In addition to Mucho Gusto, which Ramsey owns in partnership with R. F. Cop- -page, Palamede was made eligible to represent Mrs. K. Ramsey, while Bow and Arrow can fly the colors of August Sprow should the trainer deem it advisable. Prospects for a lightning fast track were regarded as excellent, in view of the fact that weather forecasts for tomorrow are clear and cooler. In the supporting feature, two newcomers to Latonia racing will make their oeasc-nal bow in I. J. Collins Bernard F. Continued on thirty-fourth page. RAMSEY NAMES THREE Continued from first page. and E. B. Carpenters Candescent, both of which raced with a marked degree of success during the recent Detroit meeting in the handicap division. Congressman completes the field of five named for this affair. The program offered measures up favorably with the best that has been offered during the Latonia autumn season.
