MICHIGAN FLYER, away fast and taken to the inside when unable to keep up, began to move up fast after reaching the turn, lacked room while continuing on the inside soon after reaching the stretch, but slipped through while racing in determined fashion in the final eighth and was ready to draw out. HIGH PLACE made a good pace for the going from the start, swerved out slightly on the stretch turn, stood pressure gamely after straightening out in the stretch, but tired in the late stages, where she again swerved out. BRIGHT was a prominent factor from the start, raced wide throughout and held on fairly well. PATROL SCOUT, under steady reserve for a half mile, swerved while holding on gamely in the drive. JAY D. JADVA, steadied along under snug restraint for a half mile, responded to light pressure after straightening out in the stretch, secured room between horses in the final eighth and got up in the last stride. GLOWSET, away slowly, began to improve her position after swinging to the outside on the stretch turn, closed boldly under cood handling and barely missed getting up. SPORT HEEL forced the pace under strong urging and opened up a good lead in the stretch, but tired sharply in the last eighth. HIGH FIRE was a keen factor from the start and held on fairly well in a good effort. MANDAS BABY, cut off approaching the turn, was taken to the outside when clear, lost additional ground entering the stretch and rallied in the final eighth to finish strongest. PAR-QUEEN quit after reaching the stretch.. DEDICATION showed little. TEXAS BOY was strongly urged from the start and tired badly in the final quarter. EVA R., never far back, began to move up slowly when approaching the stretch, responded to increased pressure to lake command and, holding on with determination, outstayed SAILORMAN. The latter raced wide throughout, dropped back slightly "on the stretch turn, raced to EVA R. quickly when straight in the stretch and fought it out stubbornly to the end. DARIA was under vigorous riding after three-eighths and tired in the last three-sixteenths, but outstayed HEDON. The latter faltered badly after showing good speed to the stretch. ANNA GRAND raced into command with a rush, was steadied rounding the turn, briefly gave way to GARDEN POOL while holding on gamely under brisk pressure approaching the final eighth and drew into a good lead in the last sixteenth, but just lasted. ROUGH DIAMOND, away slowly and badly outrun lor a half mile, rallied strongly thereafter and might have gotten up in another stride. GARDEN POOL, well up from the start and raced wide, was under a stout hold for a half mile, then got to the front in the drive, but gave way in the late stages. WOODLANDER closed well from a slow beginning. PORCELLUS was under strong urging from the start and tired gradually after reaching the last three-sixteenths. GAY MAY moved up fast approaching the second turn, began to bear out after reaching the last three-eighths, continued to drift out while holding on resolutely through the final three-sixteenths and was holding her narrow advantage at the end. MORRIS GRINER, reserved off the pace, responded when called upon and held on wth determination through the final eighth, where he was weakly handled. UNPARALLED, badly outrun for three-quarters, improved her position gradually thereafter. SWIFT SPOT also closed strongly. STANDARD TIME had no mishaps. PRINCE SADOR gave way badly on the final turn. Won easily; second and third driving. CATOMAR, racing in. good form and rated off the early pace, moved tip strongly after reaching the final half mile, took a commanding lead entering the stretch, was briskly shaken up in the last eighth and continued well to the end, but had little left. CARVOLA almost fell when she stumbled shortly after the start, was kept on die inside to the last half mile, lost much ground when beginning to move up on the stretch turn, closed well when straight and rapidly wore down GATO in the last seventy yards. Tho latter look command early, continued in command to the stretch where he readily gave way to the winner, yet held on with good courage under strong riding. CHANCE RAY met light interference leaving the back stretch and rallied mildly in the stretch, but tired in the late staccs. SHINING HEELS bore out badly on the first turn and had speed, but quit after five-eighths. WARLAINE quit. WHITE COCKADE continued to bear out badly after being carried out on the first turn by SHINING HEELS and SANGREAL and was not prominent after the first three-sixteenths. SANGREAL, forced out on the First turn, showed a flash of early speed. The latter held his position under good rating, responded when called upon in the drive, but could hot stall off the winner. CRACK BOY, well up and in hand for three-quarters, was vigorously handled thereafter but could not threaten the leaders. U DEMON, never far back, was hard ridden after going about five-eighths and held on well. FLOSILDA had good speed for seven-eighths and then tired.
