FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES s Patchpocket and Idle Elf are the two racers that L. E. Ogle brought in from Paw-tucket, R. I., to campaign in the colors of F. C. Murray. Cooper Phelps has been engaged as authorized agent for the stable of W. W. Adams and will make the engagements of apprentice E. Robart during the winter. He is also booking the mounts of R. L. Vedder. Word received here from Shreveport is that Tom J. Brown, State Jockey Club starter, who has been confined to the Tri-State Hospital, has recovered sufficiently to be discharged and will go to Hot Springs for a rest. - i
