AGUA GAL1ENTE TURF NOTES g : The Del Tticco camera is the one which was used at the recent Hollywood and Del Mar meetings and will be employed at Agua Caliente to determine the winners in their close finishes. A check on the horses on the grounds reveals 330 members of the equine colony are available for the various events to be staged, with another 100 expected here before the end of the week. Albert Conners, custodian of the jockeys quarters, is "back from a hunting trip in Utah and has assumed his duties of assigning reservations to the riders who will ply their trade here. A jockeys ball will be held Sunday night at Boyson Hall, Imperial Beach, Paul Noble is sponsoring the event. Earl Simpson, owner of Old Maid, is a former worlds champion rodeo performer. The jockey fees in all races at Agua Cali-ente will, be 5 for a winner and 0 for a losing mount. Jockey Don Neal, one of the most capable riders who will participate at the coming meeting, checked in this morning, having made the trip from Tanforan. It was Neal who guided that brilliant mare Faithful Maud in all her triumphs at Agua Caliente when the daughter of American Flag Faithful Friend took the measure of many notables of the handicap division here last season. Another topnotch rider was added to the jockey colony at Caliente this morning with the arrival from Tanforan of Willie Moran, former contract pilot for the famous Green-tree Stable. Morans home is in San Diego. Jockeys Robert Varner and Darrell Mc-Cown also checked in this morning. King Saxon, R. F. Carmans handicap ace, was still running a fever this morning and was under the care of a veterinarian. Carman was expected today from Tanforan.
