NEW COACH FOR IOWA IOWA CITY, Iowa, Nov. 24. Today it was officially announced by Prof. Karl E. Leib, chairman of the University of Iowa athletic board, that Irl Tubbs one-year contract as head football coach will not be renewed. Chairman Leib ignored reports that Dr. Eddie Anderson, of Holy Cross, has signed a three-year contract to coach at Iowa, by declaring in his formal statement that the board "is not now at liberty to name a new coach." Chairman Lieb said that the board will meet in its regular session November 29, and that he hopes at that time it will be at liberty to announce the name of Iowas new coach.
