PLAN MANY TURF EACES MIAMI, Fla., Noc. 24. Turf racing will be given added impetus this season at Hialeah Park, for Joseph E. Widener, president of the Miami Jockey Club has decreed that a stake offering be provided to attract the better class of thoroughbreds racing here. The Miami Beach Handicap henceforth will be known as Americas ranking stakes over the grass. The course lies within the infield, paralleling the main track. The Miami Beach is for three-year-olds and up at a distance of a mile and one-sixteenth, and the prize is ,000 added. Turf racing has been ever popular with the winter patrons and these events are scheduled regularly during the week by racing secretary Charles J. McLennan.
