CHALLEBON PAWTUCKET STAR Wins Most Valuable Race and Heads Money-Winning Horses. Thirty-Five Per Cent of Favorites Make Good War Admiral Second Leading Money Winner. Challedons almost effortless victory in the New England Futurity, worth 3,410, was the highlight of the recent meeting at Nar-ragansett Park. The juvenile race was by far the outstanding event of the session and resulted in a good contest. In all, Narragan-sett gave away 55,720 during its thirty-three days of racing, a daily average of 0,-779.39, and W. L. Brann, owner of Challedon, carried away 3,410, by far the largest single slice of the prize money. The meeting began October 13 and ended November 19. Thirty-five per cent of the public choices fulfilled expectations and the ratio of winning odds-on choices to the losing odds-on choices was good, 15 to 7. War Admiral appeared in and won the Rhode Island Handicap, probably his farewell race of the year. He added ,340 through that victory and finished next to Challedon as a money winner during the session. The Calumet Farm stable of W. Wright was second to W. L. Brann in the owners list, winning ,990, which just topped the Glen Riddle Farms winnings of ,340. J. R. Gregory and S. Rutchick tied for training honors, with eight winners each, while R. Nash rode forty winners and headed the pockeys. Following are the owners whose horses won ,610 or more: Owner. 1st. 2nd. 3rd. Amt. Brann, W.
