FAIR GROUNDS : TURF NOTES j Word was received at the Fair Grounds that the horses owned by George Ogle are en route from Bowie, Md., where the autumn racing season was abbreviated due to unseasonable fall weather and are expected to be unloaded in New Orleans Thursday. George W. Fritz, member of the official personnel at Rockingham Park, was an arrival from New England and plans to remain in the Crescent City for several weeks before going to Florida. The only addition to the schooling list, which is the smallest in seveial years, was War Jest, which will have to attend classes with Molly Fly, Manhunt and two others. Harry D. Cox, a regular winter visitor at the Fair Grounds for many years, registered the following horses for his wife: Abbots Hour, Firing, Acautaw, Oddest Boy and Cavour, while in the same stable is Mrs. F. C. Dunns King Bonny. Work on the second draft of the Louisiana Jockey Club condition book having been completed by racing secretary" R. A. Leigh, the copy has been placed in the hands of the printer. H. B. Anderson checked in from Narra-gansett and assumed the training of the horses Joe D. and Hereward, which have been here for the past week. Anthony Graffagnini, New Orleans turfman, has taken over Fleet Pat to train for the partnership of Lomanaco and Amato, Crescent City owners, and announced that he intends to make several additions to the stable. C. Harrison brought in two horses which have been in training at Arlington Downs for the past few months. The racers are Star Lad and Broadage, the latter a two-year-old filly, which has not yet been seen under colors, but which is destined to make her debut in the Crescent City. A dense fog enveloped the city early Wednesday morning and training activities were delayed for several hours as a "result. It was past eight oclock before the fog .cleared sufficiently to permit the timing of horses in their training maneuvers, The horses Joe M. Brooks has quartered at Jefferson Park, several of which were brought from his thoroughbred nursery at New Iberia, La., are Lady Democrat, Ruth. Scout, John Marcum, Hildur Rose, Sun Capture, Wilmington, Beau Phanoa, Jerry S. and Whitdel. Mon Revo, bred and foaled in Buenos Aires, is scheduled to make his first appearance under colors in the United States Thursday afternoon at the Fair Grounds. The foreigner is the property of L. W. Johnson. . Former jockey C. E. Allen was an arrival from New England and plans to remain in the Crescent City for the winter. O. L. Foster, who developed Allen into a rider some years ago, is training two horses owned by Mrs. Allen. Word was received by E. E. Russell that Mrs. C. F. Adams, wife of the chairman of the board of Suffolk Downs and mother of Weston W. Adams, will arrive in New Orleans early next week for a brief visit. Weston Adams has fifteen horses quartered at the Louisiana Jockey Clubs track under the supervision of Russell.
